Wondering how to become a pet trainer or grow your pet behavior consultant business? We can help.
There are many forms of positive pet training for dogs and other animals. Typically, positive pet training is classified as training that is force-free and fear-free, and designed to support true behavior change in your pet.
At Pet Harmony Training, we follow LIMA training methods. LIMA describes a trainer or pet behavior consultant who uses the “least intrusive, minimally aversive” strategies possible when working to achieve a training or behavior change goal.
To put it simply – yes, it is very effective. But we get this question a lot! While we offer in-person private pet training, many of our clients take advantage of our virtual pet training services. So, is doing positive pet training online as effective as doing it in person? Our clients think so! Our animal behavior consultants are experts at what they do, and they’ve seen it all when it comes to troublesome behavior.
In fact, our consultants don’t even need to see your pet’s challenging behavior in action to work on behavior modification. In virtual pet training, we’ll work together via video to identify the best behavior change strategies for your pet and help you apply these strategies to your everyday life.
It’s impossible (and unethical) to guarantee behavioral training success, but we have thousands of happy pet parents who have found success with our positive pet training methods. There are many factors that can impact pet behavior during and after training, including age, health, genetics, environment and more. We will never guarantee results, but we will work our hardest to help you and your pet live more harmoniously.
