I have multiple chronic illnesses and spent the first four decades of my life working with multiple healthcare professionals to try to get accurate diagnoses and effective treatments.
When I started working as a behavior consultant, I would see the look on clients’ faces that I would give my doctors. I would hear the frustration in their voices when we weren’t on the same page. I could tell that there was the same communication breakdown between us that I felt between my doctors and me.
