Nelia Cook, CPDT-KA, is a dog trainer and behavior consultant with Pet Harmony. They’ve been an animal lover since childhood, having grown up on a farm in Oklahoma with lots of animals of all kinds.

They began their professional career with dogs managing playgroups at a dog daycare while they started their dog training education with Animal Behavior College. They were eventually hired to be the head dog trainer at a daycare where they created and maintained the day training program and worked to help clients and staff members better understand dog behavior.

They have refined their knowledge of training and behavior through a variety of courses with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, Fenzi Dog Sports Academy, and other organizations. They originally connected with Emily and Allie after reading their book Canine Enrichment for the Real World and inquiring about Pet Harmony’s Mentorship Program which they later enrolled in.

Nelia is a certified professional dog trainer-knowledge assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and was runner-up for the IAABC’s Rebecca Park Scholarship in 2020. They are passionate about helping people to better understand and strengthen their relationship with their dog.
