Tracy Harachi (she/her/hers), is a dog trainer and behavior consultant with Pet Harmony.  She loves problem solving and identifying strategies to support pet parents and their dogs to have a mutually satisfying life together for your unique situation and household needs. No matter where you are in your journey, she’s here to support you every step of the way—especially if your dog struggles with anxiety around domestic or international transport (one of her specialities!) or general fears that impede every day life.

After many years focused on improving the well-being of children and families through evidence-based interventions, including in Cambodia, Tracy began volunteering at an animal sanctuary which housed over 500 dogs in Thailand. Her childhood passion for animals in all shapes, sizes, and abilities was reignited and she began volunteering locally at a municipal shelter in the Pacific NW. Tracy expanded her knowledge of learning and behavior change among people to the science behind training and behavior now focused on dogs.  At the shelter, her tasks include developing and supporting training and behavior modification plans for dogs in foster care, training new volunteers, and walking challenging dogs. She loves spending time with shy and fearful dogs to grow their confidence and sense of agency. She loves tapping into the power of movement to build lasting trust and confidence for your pooch. So if you’re hitting a wall with your anxious dog, Tracy’s got the skills and understanding to help both of you reach your training goals together.

Tracy graduated with a Master’s in Social Work and PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Washington.  She is a certified professional dog trainer-knowledge assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer through the University of Tennessee and a Fitpaws Master Trainer.

Kind Words From Happy Clients

“I want to let you know how much we appreciate the help with training that you have given us… We’re making use of the strategies you recommended. They are becoming more effective, as we get more effective with them, and have established an approach to training for us that works and that we apply to new situations and they arise. We are very lucky.”
Dianne Kornberg

“After hearing me talk about you and looking you up online, the Veterinary Behaviorist at SF SPCA gives you two thumbs up and said she’d put you on her “approved” list of trainers.”
Julie Greer

“I’m incredibly grateful to have worked with you to learn more skills on how to be the best dog parent [my dog] could have… Progress isn’t linear for him (or anyone really), but it is happening… Thank you again for your help!”
Kiana Leija

“We signed up for one session with Pet Harmony trainer, Tracy Harachi, and got so much more help with our puppy than we expected! Although we’ve raised dogs for forty years, Tracy taught us new, effective training techniques. She was incredibly generous with her time and expertise. Our experience with her was a pleasure in every way. Pet Harmony continues to support us with regular training tips and advice. I highly recommend their service.”
